Various plastics may benefit from the use of KETJENFLEX® plasticizers either during polymerisation or processing.

Polyamides
Our KETJENFLEX® products may be introduced during synthesis and during the compounding or moulding process of polyamides. Being highly polar in nature these sulfonamide based plasticizers are greatly compatible with polyamide polymers. Improvements obtained by using KETJENFLEX® plasticizers are for example: liquid resistance (tubes and pipes) and the excellent thermal, chemical, and hydrolysis resistance.

• PA 6 and PA 6.6

PVC
PVC’s have been typically the domain of phthalate plasticizers. Lately due to their problematic toxic profile phthalates have been replaced by more friendly, non-toxic plasticers like our biobased KETJENFLEX® 12.
A special domain for KETJENFLEX® plasticizers is the use in PVC plastisols. Plastisols based on for example KETJENFLEX® 12 are commonly used as textile inks for screen-printing and as a coating, particularly for outdoor applications (roofs, furniture) and dip-coatings (gloves, tools).
