KETJENFLEX® for Coatings
The coatings market has been an important sector for Axcentive since decades. The existing range of KETJENFLEX® specialty additives bring enhanced adhesion, gloss, flexibility and superior film formation to marine coatings, wood coatings and melamine resin coatings.

Our KETJENFLEX® additives are used to enhance adhesion, flexibility, and performance in various printing applications, delivering measurable improvements in print quality and durability.
Ablative antifouling coatings
Ablative antifouling coatings need smooth, uniform surfaces, which can be obtained using KETJENFLEX® 8. KETJENFLEX® 8 supports film formation and gives adhesion promotion on lower layers, provides oil, solvent and water resistance and is UV and thermally stable.

Nitrocellulose wood coatings
Formulate phthalate free, flexible and smooth wood coating systems using KETJENFLEX® plasticizers

• Nitrocellulose – Alkyd resins
• Cellulose acetate butyrates
Acid cure wood coatings
Cost effective woodcoatings can be formulated from aminoresins in combination with polyols catalysed by KETJENFLEX® CP.

• Melamine – alkyd + polyol
• Polyesterpolyol + Amino resin
